Letter for our Year 6 Families – Making a safer transition project

Year 6 – Making a safer transition project

3rd December 2020

Dear Parent/ Carer,

I wanted to inform you that the children in year 6 will be taking part in a safer transition session in school next week. There will be two sessions delivered by the St Giles Trust, one on Monday 7th December for Class 6B and Tuesday 8th December for Class 6A.

During the sessions, the children will discuss respecting others, honesty and trust, following rules and laws, taking responsibility for your actions, caring for others and protecting your environment. As part of this, the children will discuss crimes involving weapons. This forms part of the year 6 PSHE curriculum ‘Being Safe’.

If you have any questions or queries regarding this, please do not hesitate to contact myself or a member of the pastoral team by phoning the school office on 0113 2717257.

Yours sincerely

Miss Wicks

Assistant Headteacher
