## Key Stage 2 results 2016-2017

2017 sees the second ‘round’ of key stage 2 tests and assessments which measure performance against the new, more challenging national curriculum which was introduced in 2014. The interim framework for teacher assessment which was introduced in 2016 to reflect the revised curriculum remains in place for 2017. Results are no longer reported as levels; pupils receive their test results as a scaled score and teacher assessments are based on the standards in the interim framework. Because of these changes, figures for 2016 & 2017 are not comparable with those for earlier years. Given the differences in the curriculum and assessments, levels are not comparable with scaled scores or teacher assessment outcomes.

The data here is unvalidated data and is subject to change following the data table checking exercise completed in September 2017. Validated data will be released from the Department for Education later in the academic year. At this stage no progress data has been shared from the Department for Education, again – this data will be shared at a later stage.
