In April 2013, the Government announced new funding of £150 million for physical education (PE) and sport. This funding should be used to improve the provision of Physical Education (PE) and sport in primary schools. This funding is provided jointly by the Departments for Education, Health and Culture, Media and Sport and has been directly allocated to primary school Head teachers.
Schools must spend the additional funding on improving their provision of PE and sport, but they have the freedom to choose how they do this.
At Hunslet Moor, we strive for every child to achieve their physical potential and to develop their confidence. We hope for every child to:

- Develop physically, emotionally and socially
- Have a lifelong participation in physical activity.

Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic in 2020, our 2019-20 Year 6 cohort were unable to go swimming due to lockdown restrictions. We will provide further details regarding swimming for 2020-21 as soon as we have them. In the meantime, you can still review our swimming data from 2018-19.
