Lisa Dixon

I welcomed the opportunity to join the Governing body at Hunslet Moor in October 2024. As a headteacher at another primary school in Beeston I am committed to ensure that every child reaches their full potential, regardless of their background or any barriers they may face.

As part of my role, I sit on the Pupil support committee who are responsible for overseeing school attendance, SEND support, safeguarding and behaviour.  I am the Governor responsible for the curriculum, which is an area I’m particularly passionate about after qualifying as a teacher in 2002 and working in inner city primary schools with high numbers of EAL pupils, SEND and pupil premium ever since. As a Headteacher and Governor I fully appreciate the challenges and rewards of leading a busy inner city primary school can bring and I look forward to supporting Hunslet Moor on their journey.
